A DAY IN THE NORTH LUBERON

This tour is included in the accompanying persons registration.

Departure to the North Luberon : Oppède, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, villages of outstanding history especially during the religious wars. LOURMARIN, place where writers like Henri Bosco and Albert Camus have been buried. Visit of the Villa Medicis of Provence Castle.

Continuation to AIX EN PROVENCE, city which enjoys an exceptional setting: at the crossroads of numerous routes, it is in the midst of a beautiful touristic environment. Determinedly cultural and artistic, this town, famed for its numerous fountains, has succeeded in hamoniously marrying tradition with modernity by creating areas of high technology.

You will discover the ancient parts of the city, rich with ancient monuments and the presence of numerous museums. It is interesting to note that Aix en Provence is the town which saw Cézanne paint a large part of his work and where foundations, such as those of Vasarely and Saint John Perse, attract each year throngs of visitors.

Lunch at the « 2 garcons » Restaurant, a well-known table of Aix en provence.
The afternoon will be dedicated to the famous painter Cézanne and visit of his atelier where he painted the « Ste Victoire ».
