Radar system design requires multi-domain expertise, mixed-signal modeling and effective paths to implementation.
In this tutorial, we will show how a Model-Based Design approach can address these challenges to improve overall workflow efficiency. Using MATLAB and Simulink, we will explore key Radar subsystems such as waveform generation, RF receiver front-end, match filters, jammer models. Capabilities required for hardware implementation, such as fixed-point modeling and HDL co-simulation, will also be covered.
Agenda highlights include:
- Radar modeling and simulation
- Radar waveform characterization and generation
- Target Detection and defeating Jammers with Null Steering Antenna Arrays
- Antenna array design and RF transceivers simulation
- Paths to implementation on FPGAs
- Fixed point signal processing
- HDL co-simulation and automatic generation of HDL code
